Edge at Union Station is at the hub of Worcester’s culinary and nightlife venues. It anchors the western end of Shrewsbury Street’s dining row. Shrewsbury Street favorites include Via Italian Table, One Eleven Chop House, Wormtown Brewery, Wonder Bar, Flying Rhino, Sweet Bakery, Mac’s Diner, Kenichi Asian Bistro, Meze Greek Tapas Bar, Pomir Grille – and more. Cultural institutions within walking distance of Edge at Union Station are the world-class Worcester Art Museum, acoustically renowned Mechanics Hall, beautifully restored Hanover Theatre now hosting Broadway shows, the American Antiquarian Society featuring the largest collection of pre-1876 Americana print, and the DCU Convention Center which attracts the likes of Dave Matthews Band, Eminem, Aerosmith, Rihanna, Aria Grande and Chris Brown. A short drive away is the nationally acclaimed Tower Hill Botanic Garden with year-round plant and floral displays.

 


Nearby recreational activities include the Blackstone Valley Bike Trial, hiking and canoeing on the Blackstone River Canal, skiing at Wachusett Mountain, rock climbing at Central Rock, apple picking at nearby farms and orchards, golfing at Green Hill Park and frequent 5k, 10K and 1/2 marathon run/walk road races organized throughout the year. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy Worcester’s close proximity to renowned recreation destinations in the Berkshire Mountains (less than 1.5 hours west) and on Cape Cod (two hours southeast). For history buffs, there’s Old Sturbridge Village, Fruitlands Museum and Worcester Historical Museum.

Now 14 pubs are serving great craft beer & fresh food in a British pub atmosphere.  Shrewsbury Street in Worcester is just the type of neighborhood the BBC is most at home in.
